Technical Information
Capto™ Q has a strong quaternary ammonium (Q) anion exchanger, Capto DEAE has a weak diethylaminoethyl anion exchanger, and Capto S has a strong sulfoethyl cation exchanger coupled to a chemically modified, high-flow agarose matrix. The modified agarose matrix provides greater particle rigidity without compromising pore size, which allows more flexibility in process-scale applications. High dynamic binding capacity is achieved with a dextran surface extender that coats the agarose matrix.
Capto™ ViralQ* is in all respects identical to Capto Q, except that a license for use of the product for virus purification is included.
Prepacked HiTrap™ Capto™ Q, HiTrap Capto DEAE (strong and weak anion exchange, respectively), and HiTrap™ Capto™ S (strong cation exchange) columns are ideal for small scale purifications. HiScreen columns prepacked with the same media are excellent tools for method optimization in process development, such as screening of selectivity, binding and elution conditions.
