Cardiomyocyte Plating Medium Supplement (CPMS) is designed as an additive for Cardiomyocyte Plating Medium (CPM, Cat. #5921) and should be used in conjunction with that medium. CPMS is a sterile, concentrated (50X) solution which contains small molecules, hormones, and proteins. The complete CPM significantly improves the viability and attachment of the hPSC-derived cardiomyocytes revived from liquid nitrogen (HPSC-CC, Cat. #6240). 

Cardiomyocyte Plating Medium Preparation 

1. Thaw the CPMS at room temperature. Gently tilt the tube several times during thawing to help the contents dissolve. Make sure the CPMS is completely dissolved before adding it to the basal medium of CPM. 

2. Decontaminate the external surfaces of the medium bottle and supplement tube with 70% ethanol and transfer them to a sterile field. 

3. Remove the cap, being careful not to touch the interior threads with fingers. Add the 50X CPMS into the basal medium using sterile techniques and mix well. The complete CPM is now ready for use. 

NOTE: Store the complete CPM in the dark at 4°C, as it is light labile. We recommend warming the medium to room temperature prior to use. 

Caution: If handled improperly, some components of the medium may present a health hazard. Take appropriate precautions when handling it, including the wearing of protective clothing and eyewear. Dispose of properly.
