New OMIX Micro Extraction Products for Cleaner, Faster SPE in Pharmaceutical Bioanalysis
OMIX Monolithic Technology is now available in 2 new formats popular for pharmacutical bioanalysis:
OMIX 96-well Plates OMIX Tips for Tomtec Quadra
How OMIX provides cleaner extracts
In both products, a small bed of highly efficient media is used to retain analytes. Because the sorbent bed is small, fewer endogenous sample components (proteins, lipids, salts) are retained. This directly impacts ion suppression in LCMS, and extract cleanliness is improved.
Post column infusion studies have been performed demonstrating that OMIX provides dramatically less ion suppression in LC/MS analysis than other SPE products. Click here to see results.
Recovery – the flip side of cleanliness
Small sorbent beds have been used for years to improve cleanliness, often at the expense of recovery. The advantage of OMIX Monolithic media is that the extraction efficiency is dramatically improved over standard packed particles. This means that cleanliness improvements described above do not sacrifice recovery or reproducibility.
Table 1. Accuracy & Precision data for OMIX 96-Well Plate Products. 50 µL rat plasma was extracted with drug levels of 100 ng/mL. Elution was with 2 x 50 µL MeOH (C18, C4) or 2 x 50 µL 95:5 MeOH:NH4OH (MP1)
